Children’s Services
Our Youth Services department has a passion for encouraging a lifelong love of reading and joy in learning! Learn more about the tools and services that the library provides for youth of all ages.
Every time you sing, read, write, talk and play with your child, you are building vital connections in their growing brain. Doing so helps prepare your child for kindergarten by building a strong foundation for learning. Library storytimes and other early literacy programming are derived from the American Library Association’s Every Child Ready to Read program.
We’re here to help with all of your learning from home needs. From online tutoring services and flashcard sets to practice tests and research tools, the library is a go-to resource for school-age learners and caregivers.
Go virtual with our online programming for kids! We offer both regularly scheduled storytimes and special online classes and activities. View our full calendar of upcoming events for kids, teens and adults.
Explore eBooks, eAudio and eMagazines for kids and teens with these fun and free resources! Need a quick how-to on using the apps? Visit our eBooks, eAudio, and eMagazines tutorial page.
Let library staff select a bundle of children’s books for you! Instead of placing holds on specific titles, tell us what types of materials you would like. Staff will gather items and check them out to you for pick-up.
