The Friends of the Stillwater Public Library is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization formed by community members to value, support, and champion the public library.
Why Friends of the Stillwater Public Library?
Because great friends make a great library! Friends at the Stillwater Public Library was created by community members to support the Stillwater Public Library. Our mission is to value, support, and champion our library, encouraging lifelong learning. We treasure our public library as a source of ideas, commentary, inspiration, and amusement which is free and available to every resident. Since it was formed in 1999, the Friends of the Stillwater Public Library, through their memberships and fundraising projects, have contributed over $80,000 toward library materials and programs.
Used Book Sales
The Friends typically run two, multi-day used book sales per year. They also maintain an ongoing used books sale area in the library year ’round. Funds raised from the sales go to support Stillwater Public Library materials and programming. Due to COVID-19, the year-round book sale is paused.
The Friends of Stillwater Public Library Spring Used Book Sale is back with a few changes! This year, the Friends will be offering a contactless “Bag of Books” sale. Drive into the library parking ramp for a curbside used book sale on Friday, April 30 from 11 AM – 4 PM and Sunday, May 2 from 12 PM – 4 PM. Select one or more pre-packed bags of books by genre. All genres are first come, first served. Each bag is $10, cash only. All proceeds benefit the Friends and help fund library materials, programs, and services. Please note that the Friends will not be holding their spring book collection drive and are unable to accept book donations at this time.
The Friends of the Stillwater Public Library Store
Consider a purchase from the Friends of the Stillwater Public Library Gift Shop: T-shirts, book bags, and postcards. All proceeds help fund library collections and programming. For more information, inquire at the Public Services Desk at the library.
Your membership will help increase library collections, support library programming, and provide advocacy for the library! The Friends organization is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
