The Friends of the Stillwater Public Library is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization formed by community members to value, support, and champion the public library.
Why Friends of the Stillwater Public Library?
Because great friends make a great library! Friends at the Stillwater Public Library was created by community members to support the Stillwater Public Library. Our mission is to value, support, and champion our library, encouraging lifelong learning. We treasure our public library as a source of ideas, commentary, inspiration, and amusement which is free and available to every resident. Since it was formed in 1999, the Friends of the Stillwater Public Library, through their memberships and fundraising projects, have contributed over $80,000 toward library materials and programs.
Used Book Sales
The Friends typically run two, multi-day used book sales per year. They also maintain an ongoing used books sale area in the library year-round. Funds raised from the sales go to support Stillwater Public Library materials and programming. Due to COVID-19, the multi-day used book sales and ongoing book sale were paused. The ongoing book sale is scheduled to reopen by September 1, 2021. The fall multi-day used book sale is scheduled for November 10 – 13, 2021.
