Ways to Give
Your support is an investment in literacy, lifelong learning, and community engagement. As a city library, government funding pays only a portion of the library’s total services. That’s where you come in. Your generosity helps enhance our materials, classes, storytimes, and other valued services.

  • Stillwater Public Library Foundation: Make a financial contribution to the Foundation. The Stillwater Public Library Foundation is dedicated to expanding the reach and impact of the library. Donations and planned gifts strengthen the library in ways that would otherwise not be possible – from materials and programming to preserving our historic building.
  • Friends of the Stillwater Public Library: Support the library one book at a time! The Friends of the Stillwater Public Library delights book lovers with their used book sales. Through annual memberships and book sales, the Friends grow the library’s collection of materials and fund unique programs for youth and adults.

Donations of Books and Other Materials
Stillwater Public Library appreciates donations of small quantities of used (or new) books and other materials for the library collections. Donated materials must meet the same standards of selection as items purchased by the library. Items should be current and in like-new condition. Please package all materials in boxes or bags that can be left with the donation. We cannot return boxes or bags. For more information, see: FAQs About Donating Materials to SPL

The Friends of SPL sponsor two large, used book sales each year, and maintain an ongoing sale area in the library year-round. Prior to the spring and fall multi-day book sales, the Friends hold book collection drives in the library’s parking ramp.During these collection drives, the Friends will accept larger donations of books, as long as the materials meet item type and condition requirements. Donations of Other In-Kind Items
If you are interested in donating other in-kind items, please contact the library to discuss the nature of your gift before bringing the materials to the library. Gifts to the library are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Upon request, we will give a receipt listing the number of items donated; however, we cannot provide a valuation for tax purposes.
