The library is about more than just books. We also provide tools to help patrons connect and engage with our larger community. Check out our newly available hotspots for use at home or on the go.
Wi-Fi hotspots available for checkout!
Do you need a wireless Internet connection? Check out a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot with your library card. The hotspots provide Internet access and are compatible with most laptops, phones, and tablets.
To check out a hotspot, place a hold through the catalog. When the hotspot is available, you will receive a hold notification email alerting you to schedule a curbside pick-up appointment.
Borrowing Guidelines: Library cardholders, ages 18 and up, may borrow a hotspot for up to 7 days. The loan period is not renewable. The hotspot must be picked up at and returned to Stillwater.
Hotspot Info: Hotspots provide 4G Internet service within the Sprint network (no roaming). Check Sprint’s coverage map for details. One hotspot can connect up to 10 devices (phones, laptops, tablets) at the same time. For more information, check out our Hotspot Quick Start Guide and FAQ.
Wi-Fi hotspots are made available to our community thanks to the generosity of donors to the Stillwater Public Library Foundation.
While the library is closed to the public, you may also bring your laptop or device and use the library’s free Wi-Fi to access the internet outside of the building. Wi-Fi signals have been expanded to cover the lawn and parking lot on the 4th Street side of the building.
Connect to the internet while sitting on one of the library’s new Wi-Fi “rest areas”. Three foster grandchildren of a library trustee built and decorated the benches. The network security key for the SPL-Guest network is stillwater guest with a space between the two words.
